Reetha powder, also known as Aritha, is obtained from the dried and ground fruits of the Sapindus mukorossi plant, which is known as soap nuts for its natural cleansing properties.
The fruits naturally contain saponins, plant substances that create a mild lather when in contact with water. This is why reetha powder is traditionally used as a natural herbal shampoo to cleanse the hair and scalp.

It can also be used as a natural skin cleanser, especially for oily and problematic skin.
